Apple never misses a chance to amaze its customers. Last week, on March 25th, Apple hosted an Apple Event 2019 which was nothing short of an extravagant night full of stars. In case you missed the event, you need not worry. We are going to give you the low-down on the Apple event.
The Apple event had us witness celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey, Jason Momoa, and Jennifer Aniston. The event was held last week at the Steve Jobs theatre located at its headquarters in Cupertino, California.
At this event, Apple went on to pay attention to its services, making crucial announcements about its streaming services. The tech giant not only made announcements about the updates to its existing apps and services such as the Apple TV app and Apple News, but it also announced a bunch of new exciting services including the Apple Arcade and the Apple Card at the event.
Apart from that, Apple also introduced a service known as Apple TV+ at the same event. This service basically features original TV shows by popular Hollywood celebrities such as Jennifer Aniston, Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Jason Momoa, Sara Bareilles, and Steven Spielberg among many others.

At the March event, Apple announced the Apple Arcade. This is a game subscription service that will be featuring over 100 new and exclusive games. The service will be made available later this year in more than 150 countries. There will be a new tab displayed on the Apple store across iOS, macOS, and Apple’s tvOS that will feature this new service.
The tech giant went on to introduce the Apple News+ which is basically a news subscription service. This service features content from the leading US-based publications including the Los Angeles Times and the Wall Street Journal and around 300 magazines including National Geographic, The New Yorker, Vogue, People, and The Rolling Stone among many others.
This news subscription service will be available for only $9.99 per month in the US and $12.99 in Canada with a free one-month trial period. It also comes with a free family sharing up to six members. Other than US and Canada, the service will be launched in Australia and the UK later this year.
The company also launched the Apple Card at its event. In a partnership with Goldman Sachs and Mastercard, Apple created its own credit card and named it as the Apple Card. Built into the Apple Wallet app on iPhone, the Apple Card gives three percent daily cash on all the purchases made directly with Apple, including at Apple Stores, on the App Store as well as for Apple services. The card will be available in the US by the mid of this year.
Titanium Apple Card
Alongside the Apple Card, Apple also introduced a titanium Apple Card to allow users to shop at locations where Apple Pay is not accepted yet. This card does not have any card number, CVV security code, expiration date or signature. It will give users one percent Daily Cash.
Apple TV App
The Apple event did not miss hitting the entertainment side. The company redesigned its TV and went on to release the Apple TV app at the event. This TV app features content from various channels such as SHOWTIME, Starz, HBO, MTV Hits, Tastemade in just one single app. The app will start working in May 2019, enabling users to subscribe to the Apple TV channels menu and watch them in the Apple TV app in both online and offline modes.
Besides being available on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV, the Apple TV app will also be available on online streaming services like Amazon FireTV and Roku as well as smart TVs by Samsung, Sony, LG, and Vizio.
Apple TV+ served as a bonus highlight in the Apple event. The tech giant launched the Apple TV+ as well which is fundamentally an ad-free and on-demand original video subscription service. This service will be featuring shows from famous Hollywood celebrities such as Jason Momoa, Jennifer Aniston, Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, Reese Witherspoon, JJ Abrams, M. Night Shyamalan, Octavia Spencer, Jon M Chu among many others.
